Ef tillagan nær fram að ganga myndu nýir reglur og leyfisveitingar fyrir kannabisrekstur verða til, og heimilt væru læknum að ávísa kannabislyfjum til sjúklinga sem gætu notið þeirra. Það væru ekki afglæpavæðing kannabis heldur aðeins stærk tilraun til að kanna hvort hann geti nýst í heilbrigðisþarfum.
This parliamentary resolution proposes that Iceland run a four-year pilot project allowing companies to grow and produce cannabis for medical purposes.
