Þessi þingsályktunartillaga fjallar um að gera fjarvinnustefnu fyrir Ísland og bætir starfsaðstæður fólks. Tillagan var lögð fram vegna þess að á meðan COVID-faraldurinn stóð sýndi reynslan að fjarvinnu gæti gagnast mörgum og að fólk var ánægt með þennan valkost. Á Íslandi væru miklir möguleikar á fjarvinnu, sérstaklega fyrir fólk sem býr í dreifbýlum, og það myndi draga úr umferðarþunga og kolefnislosun. Ef tillagan nær fram að ganga myndu stjórnvöld gera ítarlega athugun á því hvernig best væri að auka fjarvinnu á vinnumarkaði og myndu leggja fram tillögur um það árið 2024. Með betri fjarvinnustefnu gætu fleiri unnið heima þegar það hentar og myndu samgöngur batna á stærstu borgum landsins.
