Þessi þingsályktunartillaga fjallar um að búa til rafrænt mælaborð sem myndu safna tölfræðilegum upplýsingum um líðan, velferð og efnahag eldra fólks á Íslandi. Tillagan var lögð fram vegna þess að eldri borgararar verða fleiri á næstu árum og þjóðfélagið þarf betri gögn til að geta tekið góðar ákvarðanir um þjónustu við þá hóp. Í dag eru engar markvissar og samræmdar upplýsingar til staðar um stöðu eldra fólks, og flutningsaðilar telja að hægt sé að læra af mælaborði fyrir börn sem Kópavogsbær útbjó með góðum árangri. Ef tillagan nær fram myndu stjórnvöld fá heildarmynd af því hvernig eldra fólk hefur það, hvar það býr, hvaða þjónustu það þarfnast og hvað það stendur frammi fyrir. Með þessum gögnum væri hægt að beina athygli stjórnvalda að þeim verkefnum sem brýnust fyrir eldra fólkinu.
This parliamentary resolution proposes creating a digital dashboard that would collect statistical information about the well-being, welfare, and economic situation of elderly people in Iceland. The resolution was put forward because the elderly population is growing and society needs better data to make good decisions about services for older citizens. Currently, there is no systematic and coordinated information available about the situation of elderly people, and the proposers believe Iceland can learn from a successful dashboard that Reykjávik created for children. If passed, the government would gain a comprehensive picture of how elderly people are doing, where they live, what services they need, and what challenges they face. With this data, authorities could focus on addressing the most urgent issues affecting older people.
