Þorgerður K. Gunnarsdóttir spyr menningar- og viðskiptaráðherra um fjármögnun Staðlaráðs Íslands, sem sér um stöðlun fyrir íslenskt atvinnulíf. Hún spyrjir hvort ríkið muni greiða sína skuldbundna hlutdeild í gjöldum til staðlastarfs, og hvort samningur við ráðið verði endurnýjaður svo að það geti haldið áfram rekstri. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að Ísland er skylt samkvæmt EES-samningnum að fullnægja kröfur um stöðlun, og ef Staðlaráð getur ekki starfað, gæti það stofnað alþjóðlegum skuldbindingum okkar í hættu. Svar ráðherra mun segja okkur hvort ríkisstjórnin tekur þessa ábyrgð alvarlega og á áform um að styrkja stöðlunarstarfið framtíðarinnar.
