Guðmundur Ingi Kristinsson and other parliamentarians proposed a bill to change laws regarding pet ownership in apartment buildings. The bill would allow people to own dogs and cats in multi-unit housing without approval from other residents, but housing associations could ban pet ownership if an animal causes serious disturbance and the owner refuses to fix the problem.
