Þessi þingsályktunartillaga felst í því að biðja forsætisráðherra um að gera yfirlit yfir öll lög og reglur sem gilda hér á landi og athuga hvort þau hindra góða samkeppni á markaði. Tillagan var lögð fram vegna þess að rannsóknir sýna að sterk samkeppni leiðir til hagvaxtar, lægra verðs fyrir neytendur og meiri nýsköpunar, en hér á landi finnast enn mörg lögin og reglur sem gera það erfitt fyrir ný fyrirtæki að keppa. Ef tillagan nær fram að ganga myndu stjórnvöld þurfa að finna þennan samkeppnishamlandi kafla í löggjöfinni og hugsanlega breyta eða afnema reglur sem gera það að engu leyti erfitt fyrir fyrirtæki að stunda viðskipti eða keppa.
