Gísli Rafn Ólafsson spyr heilbrigðisráðherra um notkun lækningatækja og aðgerða við fæðingar hér á Íslandi. Hann vill vita hversu oft læknar nota útgangstöng, sogklukku og keisaraskurð á hverju ári síðastliðin tíu ár, og hvort þessar tölur eru sambærilegar við önnur Norðurlönd. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að það getur sýnt hvort Ísland notar of margar inngripa við fæðingum miðað við nágrannaland okkar. Svörin munu segja okkur hvort íslenskar fæðingastofur fylgja bestu starfsháttum og hvort það þarf að breyta verklagsreglum um þessa meðferð.
