Skýrslan fjallar um starfsemi Íslandsdeildar Evrópuráðsþingsins árið 2023 og miðast hún við umræður um undirbúning og framkvæmd leiðtogafundar Evrópuráðsins sem haldin var í Reykjavík í maí, auk umfjöllunar um árásarstríð Rússlands í Úkraínu og önnur mikilvæg málefni. Skýrslan var lögð fram til að skýra Alþingi starfsemi og áherslur íslenskra þingmanna á Evrópuráðsþinginu á því ári, þar sem Ísland gegndi formennsku í Evrópuráðinu.
The report covers the activities of the Icelandic delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in 2023, focusing on discussions surrounding the preparation and implementation of the Council of Europe summit held in Reykjavik in May, as well as coverage of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and other important matters. The report was submitted to inform Parliament about the work and priorities of Icelandic parliamentarians at the Council of Europe, during a year when Iceland held the presidency of the Council of Europe.
