Inger Erla Thomsen spyr félags- og vinnumarkaðsráðherra um hvernig fólk sem fengið hefur samþykki fyrir fjölskyldusameiningu hefur fengið aðstoð til að komast til Íslands síðustu 10 ár. Hún vill vita hversu margar persónur hafa nýtt sér slíka aðstoð, hvort fólk á rétt á fjárhagslegum stuðningi ef það kemur ekki að því sjálft, og hvort ráðuneytið hefur aðstoðað fólk við að fara yfir landamæri. Svörin myndu sýna okkur hvort ríkið aðstoðar einstaklinga þegar þeir komast til landsins og hvort það er jöfn aðstoð fyrir alla.
Inger Erla Thomsen asks the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour about how people who have received approval for family reunification have been assisted in coming to Iceland over the past 10 years. She wants to know how many people have used such assistance, whether people have the right to financial support if they cannot afford to travel themselves, and whether the ministry has helped people cross borders and leave their home countries. The answers would reveal whether the state actively supports individuals in this process and whether the support is equal for everyone.
