Katrínu Sigríði J. Steingrímsdóttur spyr heilbrigðisráðherra um samning Sjúkratrygginga Íslands við sálfræðinga. Hún bendir á að mjög fáir sálfræðingar séu á samningi og spyr hvort ráðherra telji nauðsynlegt að endurkemba samninginn. Hún vill vita hvers vegna sálfræðingar kjósa ekki að vera á samningnum og hvort ráðherra ætli að gera eitthvað til að tryggja að allir geti nálgast sálfræðiþjónustu óháð peningum. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að margir Íslendingar geta ekki fengið aðgang að sálfræðiþjónustu ef hún er dýr og fáir sálfræðingar eru á samningi við sjúkratryggingar.
Katrínu Sigríði J. Steingrímsdóttur asks the Minister of Health about the agreement between the Icelandic Health Insurance and psychologists. She points out that very few psychologists are contracted and asks whether the minister thinks the agreement needs to be reviewed. She wants to know why psychologists are choosing not to work with the health insurance and whether the minister plans to take further action to ensure everyone can access psychological services regardless of income. This matters because many Icelanders cannot afford psychological treatment if few psychologists accept health insurance and fees are high.
