Andrés Ingi Jónsson spyr matvælaráðherra um dýratilraunir á Íslandi undanfarin fimm ár. Hann vill vita hversu mörg leyfi hafa verið veitt, hversu mörgum umsóknum hefur verið hafnað, hvaða dýr hafa verið notuð, hvaða fyrirtæki stunda slíkar tilraunir, og hvort leyfi hafi verið veitt fyrir öðrum tilgangi en vísindum. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að dýratilraunir eru umdeilt efni og almenningur ætti að vita hvernig með þeim er farið. Svörin munu sýna hvort eftirlitið með dýratilraunum á Íslandi sé nægjanlegt og hvort aðhald sé á þeim.
