Bergþór Ólason spyr háskóla-, iðnaðar- og nýsköpunarráðherra hversu margir erlendir nemendur frá löndum utan Evrópska efnahagssvæðisins stunda nám í Háskóla Íslands á síðustu fimm árum. Hann biður um að svarið sé sundurliðað eftir mismunandi sviðum og deildum háskólans. Þetta skiptir máli vegna þess að það gefur mynd af alþjóðlegum tengslum og aðlaðandi krafti Háskóla Íslands fyrir nemendur utan Evrópu. Svörin munu segja okkur hversu mikilvægur hluti nemendanna kemur frá þessum löndum og hvar mest áhugi er á námi við háskólann.
