Ásthildi Lóu Þórsdóttur spyr forsætisráðherra um viðskiptareikninga sem eru með Seðlabanka Íslands. Hún vill vita hversu mikið fé hefur verið á þessum reikningum í hverjum mánuði síðan júní 2023, hversu mikla vexti hafa verið greiddir út og hver myntu standa fyrir þeim vöxtum. Svörin myndu segja okkur hvort og hvernig Seðlabanki greiðir vexti til fyrirtækja og stofnana sem eiga reikninga þar, og hvort þessi kostnaður kemur úr opinberum fjármunum.
Ásthildi Lóu Þórsdóttur asks the Prime Minister about transaction accounts held at the Central Bank of Iceland. She wants to know how much money has been in these accounts each month since June 2023, how much interest has been paid out, and where that interest money comes from. The answers would reveal whether and how the Central Bank pays interest to businesses and institutions with accounts there, and whether this cost comes from public funds.
