Jódís Skúladóttir spyr umhverfis-, orku- og loftslagsráðherra fjóra spurningar um nýju Náttúruverndarstofnunina sem hefja starfsemi 1. janúar 2025. Hún vill vita hvort ný stofnunin fái sömu völd og getu til að tjá sig um umhverfismál og náttúruverndarverkefni og gamla Umhverfisstofnunin hafði. Spurningar hennar beinast einnig að því hvernig verða meðhöndluð tilvik þar sem stofnunin væri að gefa umsögn um sín eigin verkefni og svæði, eins og friðlýst svæði og þjóðgörðinn Vatnajökul. Jódís Skúladóttir asks the Environment, Energy and Climate Minister four questions about the new Nature Conservation Institute (Náttúruverndarstofnun) that begins operations on January 1, 2025. She wants to know whether the new institution will have the same powers and authority to comment on environmental and nature protection matters as the previous Environment Agency had. Her questions also focus on how cases will be handled where the institution would be issuing opinions on its own projects and areas, such as protected zones and Vatnajökull National Park. The answers will reveal whether the transition is well-organized and whether there is a risk of the institution judging itself.
