Í fyrirspurnarstíma var rætt um frumvarp til að breyta lögum um hatursorðræðu (233. gr. a almennra hegningarlaga). Tilgangur breytingarinnar er að þrengja lögin og styrkja tjáningarfrelsi á Íslandi, með því að bæta við skilyrði um að tjáningin verði að hvetja beint til haturs, ofbeldis eða mismununar. Frumvarpið kemur í kjölfar dóma Hæstaréttar og samþykktar þingsályktunnar um að Ísland styrki vernd á tjáningar- og upplýsingafrelsi.
During question time, a bill was discussed to amend the laws on hate speech (Article 233.a of the General Penal Code).
