Kolbrún Áslaugar Baldursdóttir og aðrir þingmenn lögðu fram frumvarp um að styrkja réttindi neytendaverndarsamtaka til að berjast fyrir hagsmunum neytenda. Frumvarpið gerir Neytendastofu og öðrum samtökum kleift að leggja fram kvartanir og fá lögbann á ólöglegum athöfnum án þess að þurfa að sýna fram á einstakling tjón. Með þessum breytingum vildu þingmennirnir bregðast við því að stjórnvöld höfðu of oft hafnað kröfum neytendaverndarsamtaka.
