Bryndís Haraldsdóttir spyr hvort ný lög um eingreiðslu fyrir fólk með skerta starfshæfni séu í samræmi við Norðurlandasamninga sem Ísland hefur undirritað. Hún bendir á að lögin krefjast þess að fólk sé með lögheimili á Íslandi frá 1. nóvember 2025 til að fá greiðslur, og spyr hvort þetta geti stangast á við markmið Norðurlanda um að draga úr stjórnsýsluhindrunum á milli landa. Svörin myndu segja okkur hvort stjórnvöld teldu lögin vera í samræmi við samstarfssamninga okra við nálægum ríki eða hvort til séu lagaleg álitaefni um það.

She points out that the law requires people to be registered as residents in Iceland from November 1, 2025 to receive payments, and questions whether this conflicts with the Nordic goal of reducing administrative barriers between countries. The answers would reveal whether the government considered the law compatible with our cooperation agreements with neighboring countries or whether there are legal concerns about it.
